Winning Oscars Not The Highest Moment for Rahman!

1g

AR Rahman who got an exhilarating welcome after he won 2 Academy Awards says that winning the Oscars is not the highest moment of his life.

He says, “A year ago, I underwent a spiritual experience, which was far greater than all this glory can ever be. It happened during one of my pilgrimages (to Mecca). It made me
calm. So all the good stuff that happened to me after Slumdog was like an offshoot of the experience I have had last year. My music is an extension of my spiritual aspirations.”

He didnt expect he would win 2 Oscars, he said,

“I was numbed. 20 seconds after the announcement, I had to run backstage, get into my costume, put on my headset and perform like a rock star. To do all this gracefully was quite an achievement. I was sure, I wouldn’t get two Oscars. I just thought performing on stage was a great honour. But the funniest part was, while rehearsing at the Kodak Theatre
, every time they would do the mock announcements, they would call out everyone’s names as winners except me. That made me sure I wasn’t getting the Oscars. I was prepared to clap for others. So when my name was announced, the joy was double. When the first Oscar was announced, I never dreamt I would get a second one, though the second one was more predictable. Everyone out there loves ‘Jai ho’.”

We all love Jai Ho Rahman!

suguna-balika-vadhu

Still not able to cope with the death of her groom Suguna wails on over the body of Pratap while his family gets ready to take him for his final journey. Father Bhairo Singh is shattered to see his young daughter hold on to his feet crying for her husband. The ever strong Vasant Singh also breaks down seeing Suguna’s pain.

Pratap’s parents and relatives are ready to take home Pratap’s body for his funeral. Suguna who was a blushing bride just a few hours ago is now weeping widow.

How would the young girl cope with the loss of her lover and how as a widow she would face the world who would make it more difficult for her. Would her family, more importantly Kalyani (Dadi Saa) support her or do the same she does with Phooli?
