Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and superstar Akshay Kumar were awarded with Padma Shree the highest civilian honour, on Tuesday morning by President Prathibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
She looked excited and yet composed in embroidered pink sari while Akshay Kumar was at his confident best.
The Bachchans and Kumars were present to cheer both the Padmashree awardees as they regally walked out with the country’s highest civilian awards in hand.
