Mani Ratnam is playing safe this time with his modern adaptation of Ramayana as he as deleted a lovemaking scene between Ash and Abhi from the flick.
A source says, “Mani has tried to keep away any parallels between Ramayana and his film. Even though he may deny it, the fact remains that the film is a modern day adaptation of the epic, with the focus being on the Ravana-Sita chapter.”
The story of Raavan goes like this - Ash a married girl is kidnapped by Abhi. As time passes Abhi-Ash star falling in love with each other. The reason behind Aishwarya’s kidnapping is, Abhi’s sister is humiliated by Ash’s hubby- Vikram and she eventually commits suicide. A friend of Rahman says, “All the international and national attention finally got to Rahman. He is essentially a very very shy artiste. All he cares about is God and his music, in that order. He doesn’t talk about anything else. Going on stage and being the cynosure of thousands of eyes is death for him. He went into hiding with only his God and music for company.”
An inaccessible Rahman said, “I am just recovering from all the exhaustion.”

Sons of producer of original Don, Nadeem and Nasir Irani have always thought about coming out with a sequel to their dad’s hit flick and now with Big B -SRK patching up the duo are keen to rope in both of them for the sequel of original Don.
A source says, “Now that SRK and Big B have decided to kiss and make up and the superstars are all set to come together in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year, Nadeem and Nasir Irani intend to meet SRK and discuss their sequel to Don.”
Apparently both Big B and SRK will be the lead actor will equal footage given to each of them.
